Scripture
Mark 3:20–30 — 20 Now Jesus went home, and a crowd gathered so that they were not able to eat. 21 When his family heard this they went out to restrain him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.” 22 The experts in the law who came down from Jerusalem said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and, “By the ruler of demons he casts out demons!” 23 So he called them and spoke to them in parables: “How can Satan cast out Satan? 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom will not be able to stand. 25 If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. 26 And if Satan rises against himself and is divided, he is not able to stand and his end has come. 27 But no one is able to enter a strong man’s house and steal his property unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can thoroughly plunder his house. 28 I tell you the truth, people will be forgiven for all sins, even all the blasphemies they utter. 29 But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, but is guilty of an eternal sin” 30 (because they said, “He has an unclean spirit”).

Let’s take a look at each of those…

The Accusation
22 — The experts in the law who came down from Jerusalem said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and, “By the ruler of demons he casts out demons!”
- Lord of the Temple (flies, dung heap, evil)
- Beelzebub = Satan
- Scribes not denying. Misattributing!
- Jesus works False Flag for Satan
- Dogmatic. Blind to truth.
- It is a persistent, continuous refusal to acknowledge the truth.
- [[[ COMMUNITY – YOUR SCHED! ]]]
- Evidence is only evidence if you want it to be {P}
The Parables
- Jesus responds with 2 parables
23–26 — So he called them and spoke to them in parables: How can Satan cast out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom will not be able to stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. And if Satan rises against himself and is divided, he is not able to stand and his end has come.
- TIL – this is about Satan
- This is life-level stuff — KINGDOM — HOUSE — SELF
- Sabotaging yourself, your walk with God?
- [[[ OFFICE – DWIGHT v DWIGHT ]]]
27 — But no one is able to enter a strong man’s house and steal his property unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can thoroughly plunder his house.

- [[[ SONIC – THIS IS MY HOUSE ]]]
- This is a fight! Serious.
- We should fight for souls with the same zeal.
The Explanation
28–30 — I tell you the truth, people will be forgiven for all sins, even all the blasphemies they utter. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, but is guilty of an eternal sin” (because they said, “He has an unclean spirit”).
- Amen = truth (Hebrew)
- “Blasphemy” is slander. (vs H.S. special?)
- Attributing to Satan what is God’s… sort of.
- It is a persistent, continuous refusal to acknowledge the truth.

Conclusion
- Have I done this?
- Proximity to Jesus ≠ good standing {P}
- Paul says as much in Romans 1
Romans 1:21 — 21 For although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or give him thanks, but they became futile in their thoughts and their senseless hearts were darkened.
Roamns 1:24–25 — 24 Therefore God gave them over in the desires of their hearts to impurity, to dishonor their bodies among themselves. 25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creation rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
Romans 1:28–32 — 28 And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what should not be done. 29 They are filled with every kind of unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, malice. They are rife with envy, murder, strife, deceit, hostility. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, contrivers of all sorts of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 senseless, covenant-breakers, heartless, ruthless. 32 Although they fully know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but also approve of those who practice them.
- Do you see?
- Refusal to acknowledge the truth
- Pharoah
- Evidence is only evidence if you want it to be {P}
- If you are worried about this, you don’t need to be.
- Losing your salvation vs pushing it away
