The Triune God
- I believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
The Scriptures
- I believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired and infallible Word of God, revealing God’s will for salvation and the ultimate authority for my faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
The Nature of God
- I believe God is sovereign, holy, loving, and just, the Creator and Sustainer of all things, who reveals Himself in His Word and through His creation (Isaiah 6:3; Psalm 145:17; Romans 11:33-36).
Creation
- I believe in the historical creation of the universe and all things therein by the word of God, as described in Genesis, and that humanity was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:1; Genesis 1:26-27).
Humanity
- I believe that humanity, originally created sinless, fell into sin through disobedience, thereby incurring both physical and spiritual death, and that I am born with a sinful nature (Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-3).
Jesus Christ
- I believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, substitutionary atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, and imminent return in power and glory (John 1:1-3, 14; Matthew 1:23; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; Revelation 22:12).
Salvation
- I believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is a free gift of God, not earned by my works, but received through repentance and personal faith in Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-7; Acts 4:12; Romans 10:9-10).
The Church
- I believe in the universal Church, the body of Christ, consisting of all believers, and in the local church as a visible expression of this universal body. The Church is called to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, disciple believers, and demonstrate God’s love through acts of service and mission (Ephesians 1:22-23; Hebrews 10:25; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:42-47).
Sacraments/Ordinances
- I believe in the ordinances of believer’s baptism by immersion, as a public declaration of faith in Christ, and the Lord’s Supper, as a memorial of Christ’s sacrificial death and a symbol of my ongoing fellowship with Him (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38-41; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
Eschatology
- I believe in the personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to judge the living and the dead, to establish His kingdom, and to reign forever. I affirm the bodily resurrection of all people, with believers receiving eternal life in the presence of God and unbelievers facing eternal separation from God (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15; John 5:28-29).
Christian Life
- I believe that I am called to live a life of holiness and obedience to God’s Word, empowered by the Holy Spirit. This includes loving God and neighbor, serving others, and seeking justice and mercy (1 Peter 1:15-16; Romans 12:1-2; Galatians 5:22-23; Micah 6:8).
Mission and Evangelism
- I believe in the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ to make disciples of all nations, proclaiming the Gospel, baptizing believers, and teaching them to obey everything Christ commanded (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8).
